A little of this and that from a full-time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner student who loves to cook, sew, run and just might need to shed a few pounds!

I think I'm ready!
I'm still tweaking the final touches, and pruning my skirt so it's not quite so poofy (is that a word? it makes me think of my bangs in the late '80s). I need to get me down to the Expo to pick up my bib and have some fun. And then I'm meeting some friends at Down Town Disney for dinner tonight.
I feel like I have 100 things on my to-do list every day and that I'm rushing through one thing after another. My house is a mess, I'm slightly overweight, and I'm putting way too much pressure on myself to get too many things accomplished. I like to read, cook, run and sew. When I can't get things right on a sewing project, it's often because I've wound my bobbin too tight. And so with sewing, as well as life, I'm working on unwinding my bobbin a bit to slow down and pull the loose ends together to create something amazing - a relaxed and happy me!
